If you have even a little bit of money and the willingness to work an extra shift every week to pay for an actual place, DO NOT LIVE HERE. It's as bad as you'd expect for a home full of people with poor emotional regulation skills. When they say "democratically run", they mean "every mandatory house meeting will take 3 hours". Expect your "democratic housemates" to be starting drama with each other all the time. Oh yeah, I forgot, you can get voted out of the house. If you DON'T vote someone out, you might start DRAMA. New guys transition in and out all the time (people mostly leave on bad terms), so enjoy not being able to lock your door at night (that's a rule you don't get to vote on!) while people literally 7 days out from their last overdose move in. You can't even lock your room if you're out of the house because that's "an addict's thinking" and also your housemates will pressure you into "voting" to search some poor dude's room because someone left a pan in the sink to soak overnight. I'm being totally serious, too, your roommates can straight up open your room at any time day or night and look through all your stuff for "contraband". Mostly you'll see normal dudes not doing anything wrong get fed up and move on because a person is trying to start trouble with them over being a little too successful. Also, you'll have to share a room and the guy might be a felon or something.
