The Dallas Transitional Center is a 225-bed halfway house located close to downtown at 899 N. Stemmons freeway dallas, texas.
The Dallas Transitional Center contracts with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice to provide halfway house residents case management, employment placement and reintegration services, 3 meals per day, and transportation to treatment programs, jobs and medical appointments.
They are in the process of relocating and constructing a new halfway house location in Dallas County to provide more halfway house program beds to the State of Texas and other agencies.
Dallas County Commissioners recently voted to approve the sale/lease of a portion of county property to Avalon.
Once the sale agreement is complete construction will begin on a new 300+ bed halfway house.
Avalon also submitted a proposal in response to an RFP (Solicitation Number RFP-200-1186-SC) issued by the Federal Bureau of Prisons for Residential Reentry Center Services in Dallas County, Texas to be provided at their new location.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons made a site visit in December 2012.

Do you take in parolees and what is the cost? Thanks
I am homeless and I need a place to stay to get my life back together. I have Aids and I got this number and organization from my case worker at AHF. I am in need of immediate housing and I have no transportation. I have been addicted to drugs also but I have never been to rehab before. I just chose to stop on my own and I have been clean for over 1 year. Thank you for your time and understanding.
My husband is on tdcj Ankle monitor parole for a couple of months Is in diar need of housing. He has been in county jail since and can be released to go to a halfway house or transition home since there is no housing available where we reside. Our 3 year old daughter misses him so much and hasn't been able to touch him in 5 months and doesn't understand.
Is this for males only halfway house and tdcj approved?
My husband is being paroled from TDCJ and needs housing.
My grandson is being released TDCJ on parole and has no money or place to live. My residence does not allow an extra tenant. He must have a physical address to parole to, and for electronic monitoring. Is there a solution for housing for him since he cannot pay at this time?
