I am looking to try to find a place for my uncle to stay. He was recently released from prison a month ago. He has been incarcerated for 7 years I believe. He is currently in Florida at a home similar to this one. He is almost 50 yrs old. He has been an alcoholic for as long as I can remember which had lead him into making some bad decisions. He is not a dangerous nor violent person at all. However he did have a stealing problem. Being sober the past 7 years (he has been in prison) has drastically changed him! He is now a believer in Christ and regularly attends church. He also is trying so hard to better him self and get his life together. He has reassured me daily that drinking is something he never wants to go back to. He attends AA meetings regularly and avoids being around anyone who drinks. I truly believe hes done with alcohol this time. My concern is with him being out now and having that opportunity to drink again though. I live in southwest va and would love to help him come here to be with people who love and support him. And thats what he is wanting to do also. Im not familiar with resources out there to help him but i did stumble upon your website while looking for housing. Would this be something he could apply for?
