The Beach House is a 24 bed beach home for women. It is located at 130 4th Avenue South, Jacksonville Beach (100 yards from Atlantic Shore!). They have been providing structured, safe, sober living environments for over 8 years. They have a caring and qualified staff that helps to creat a supportive team 24 hours a day. The Beach House bridges the gap between treatment or early sobriety and the unrestricted environment on which they came. They realize it can be devastating to individuals and families when a patient is discharged from rehab or just beginning early recovery without having acquired the necessary skills for long term sobriety. Through experience , skills and supportive environment, they are able to help those with varing stages of addiction to build a strong recovery foundation from the outset. Patricia Yost was in charge when I was there in summer of 2012. Not only was she very professsional, but actually kind of fun to be around. She taught us to be responsible for ourselves and to consider the feelings of others when we abused.
