Transitional Living Program for youth 18-24 who are aging out of foster care.
The program is 12-24 months in a communal living home in Lawrence, Kansas.
The home is staffed 30 hours a week with a case manager from The Willow Domestic Violence Agency in collaboration with Tenants to Homeowners.
This is a goal oriented program and participants must engage in case management and other community services if appropriate.
Participants are expected to have employment or be participating in employment services.
The youth will work on things like: independent living skills, financial literacy and education on being a good renter.
The rent for the home is $300 per month per person.
