Safe Haven Transitional Living is a men's recovery house in York, Pennsylvania dedicated to helping the recovering alcoholic and addict.
They currently have two Victorian style homes that can accommodate up to thirty-five men.
Their highly structured environment allows for their residents to continue to grow in their new found sobriety in a safe and secure environment away from the temptations of drugs and alcohol.
Random drug and alcohol testing is performed to ensure the safety of all residents at Safe Haven.
Each resident of Safe Haven is expected to complete an Intensive Outpatient Program, complete 90 meetings in 90 days, obtain a sponsor in the Twelve Step fellowship of his choosing, and actively work the Twelve Steps.
In addition, each resident is assigned a daily household chore, must participate in cooking and cleaning up meals, and abide by the set curfew.
Safe Haven Transitional Living is operated by men who have gone through the Twelve Steps and can relate to the sometimes early struggles of a sober lifestyle.
While residing at Safe Haven their residents are given the opportunity to develop a strong support group as they begin to embrace the Twelve Step process.
Each resident of Safe Haven is urged to learn not only how to abstain from drugs and alcohol, but more importantly how to begin to demonstrate integrity in all of their actions.
