What is your current addiction OR problem that you are seeking help for? How long have you had this issue?
Alccohol. I've been drinking since I was about 8 years old and I am currently 54 year old female. I am in ORMC and got a medical detox. I need inpatient treatment. I have Medicare and Medicaid
Have you used a transitional housing resource before?
Have you used this locations services before? What is your opinion of it?
It's a terrible place but if you need somewhere to live you can get in asap. It's all about that rent check and nothing else. If you come off the street with nothing or out of jail with nothing be ready to fend for yourself because the staff provides nothing at all. Same with food if you're lucky you might land in an apartment with extra cans of beans from the pantry. People there struggling themselves so nobody is looking to help you. Your required for your chores to have your own cleaning supplies and medication lock bag. Nothing is provided. I offered for them to make welcome kits with toilet paper and some food but they said they have no room. They have an office with plenty of room for that. Also if you wanna live off the state forever there is no expiration date. They have some guys here that have been here for 5 years and do not go to outpatient or submit to drug testing so they just live like kings no worries. The owner still comes all the time because he knows this director is clueless so he said he trusts nobody with his check book. They check us upon entry of office if we are recovering or have a wire on because they would be shut down. Buildings are all paid and in bad condition. Rarely do people actually graduate, it's set for failure and repeat clients. New life manor in the town of Newburgh is a better choice but live and learn.
Do you have any experience with the office personnel? How were they?
Do they take ex felons?
ITS A GOOD PLACE. STAFF IS GREAT BUT DON'T RELAPSE OR BE FAKE ABOUT YOUR TREATMENT OR YOU WILL BE OUT OF THERE. DOMINICK IS GREAT, HE BEEN IN THIS FOR 30 PLUS YEARS AND IS SOMEONE YOU CAN TALK TO IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE.
So there’s someone who is not showing up for court who says he’s staying at this facility yet the office will not give the lawyers office any information.
Do not go to this place. The women who live in the house are stuffed into small apartments Four women to a bedroom. No room for there clothes or there food. The owners a Husband and wife and The women are scared on them which has the women telling on each other to get in good with the owners. They don’t help the addict they hurt them. STAY AWAY for Renwick House. Run don’t walk!
