Oxford House Commonwealth is a self-run, self-supported recovery house for recovering alcoholics and drug addicts. Oxford House Commonwealth is an all male facility. Oxford Houses are a concept in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. On a monthly basis, the Oxford houses in a geographic area get together to share their common experiences in order to assure that Oxford House Commonwealth operates in a way that preserves the good name of Oxford House and encourages more experienced houses to help newer ones. Residents pay rent, utility and other household expenses of Oxford House Commonwealth. There are ten beds in this self-supporting and drug free home. This self-supporting and drug free home is operated by Oxford House, a non-profit network headquartered in Silver Spring.

My son is in jail for possession of heroin and was on methadone when he got a technical violaiton that put him in jail, The judge said if he bond out to a recovery house, he will give him a bond.

Alcoholism. 25+ years. I want tor re-enter the workforce, obtain Housing, and continue my alcohol rehabilitation. I'm currently at "The Healin Place" here in Richmond and looking for options.  Alcohol only...no drug addiction (even though alcohol is a drug). I can only be contacted through the Library computer (email). No Phone #.  Please find me space in your program. Thanks, David M.
