To whom it may concern: Im not trying to get my money back nor am I trying to go back to an oxford house. I was at the endor house, and the gentleman Daniel who was the "House Manager" is a drama queen. If he doesn't like you, he will will go around to everyone in the house and play the victim. for example, the house drew pennies, and that means everyone in the house has to take a UA. I took mine, it was negative. They put everyone's UA on the counter in the bathroom. No CHAIN OF CUSTODY. He come back 2 days later and say my UA was hot for methadone, or whatever. I do not do opiods. Never have. Couldnt tell you what they look like. Well I got upset, and yes I yelled. But only at the fact that the UA was negative 2 days prior and now hot. He gives the Oxford House a horrible name. He told me, "James, we hate to call chapter, thats why we are keeping it in house. Well I took another one, and it was negative. He also, when I took my first UA made a comment about my penis. I still have more to say about that but, I'll just leave it at that. If you want to know more, please E-mail me. James Johnson

Oxford can be an excellent way of re-establishing your life after a period of time in active addiction. This particular house however is not a good representation of Oxford living. The house is supposed to be democratic however an older gentlemen by the name of Daniel is the house president and has worked the idea into his mind that he has more power than anyone else living there. Outside of shooting the neighborhood wildlife with his prized air rifles, he has no life once so ever. Daniel lives off social security and will make sure you never forget how hard his life is because of his debilitating medical issues. While he struggles to do anything not related to cigarettes or food, he stays active in preaching to others about their recovery. Daniel will attempt to assert his dominance in the house by frequently suggesting that only the senior members of the house have any idea of how to live clean and are the only ones that can be trusted. Any issue that arises in the house couldn’t possibly be to the fault of himself or his friends that have been there for years - it only makes sense that it was one of the new guys. Daniel talks down to people who are new in their recovery and suggests that they will not make it. He also gets to set and alter the rules of the house as he pleases since his arrogant argumentative self cannot understand reason and no one wants to try to debate with him. Tony is another member who believes he was blessed with the ability to pass judgment on others sobriety and set rules for them based on his opinion. God forbid someone crosses his path because he likes to complain and speaks like a child. Anyway best of luck if you interview and are accepted into this house, there are some very considerate and recovery oriented individuals in this house and I suggest you stick to them and try not to take anything personally from the old heads. Also hope you are conservative republican or good at keeping your political opinions to yourself if you live here...
