Step 1 has been serving the men of Northern Nevada since 1993. Step 1 reaches out to men who are homeless as a result of their substance/alcohol abuse, criminal and antisocial behavior, but who have a strong motivation to change their lives for the better. Men requesting transitional housing enter the program directly from a homeless shelter, state institution, an inpatient or a residential treatment facility for substance dependence.


Mission Statement: “Serving the community by providing transitional housing and supportive services to adult men who have been diagnosed with a substance use disorder and who seek to re-enter society as self-sufficient, responsible fathers, individuals and citizens.”

Im looking for help with a place to stay while i find employment and save enough for my own place. Any help or advice? Currently in a program, but offers no way to make money

My brother is currently in Reno Behavior program. He is homeless will be released mid October and would like a place where he can continue to get help. He also would be looking for employment so that he can save enough money to find his own place to live.
