Middle Way House, Inc. provides a transitional housing facility known as 'The Rise!' It provides help to low-income woman who are recovering from the impacts of domestic violence. It also helps them to secure permanent, safe and affordable housing.
The rise! provides affordable housing for 28 poor homeless families headed by women who have experienced life threatening violence.
It is a complex of two and three bedroom apartments that can accommodate almost any family size.
All apartments come furnished with stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and beds; dressers, sofas and other furnishings are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Utilities are also furnished with tenants paying for telephone and cable.
The cost of housing is based on the tenants ability to pay.
Mission Statement: Middle Way House seeks to end both structural and interpersonal violence.
Fees: Sliding scale based on income
Eligibility: Low-income women with dependent children who have experienced life-threatening violence.
