I am currently living in Schenectady, NY. Previously I had lived in Charlotte,NC off and on for most of my life. I moved to NY 2 years ago to be with my ex-boyfriend, who ive been off and on in a relationship for about 4 years. My grandfather had recently commited suicide and I had been struggling with severe depression prior to that. I moved up to NY on an impulse and was very lost and broken. Once I arrived in NY my life continued to go on a downward spiral due to my addiction, worsening mental health and to make matters worse an abusive relationship that I seemed to be stuck in the middle of with no place to go. So after leaving my ex boyfriend for good and working on my mental health and addictive behaviors I am desperately in need of leaving NY and coming back to my home state where all of family reside and my support. I am looking for a temporary emergency shelter and really would like to be surrounded in a clean environment. I have no where to go once I arrive back in NC and due to +previous terrible decisions while in my active addiction I lost any opportunity to stay with any of my family members. If -you possibly help or even steer me in the right direction I would most def. appreciate it.
