I am currently a DOC client at a halfway house called CAE in Colorado Springs. I see parole this month and I would like to be paroled there.

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD!! Here are a few reasons why...the first thing I noticed was there are 17 women living in the small house at all times, this means 3-5 ladies per room. I went here after rehab and had about 90 days sober and hoped this place would be safe. While I was there the house lead came home drunk 3 times given chance after chance. There was constant fighting about chores and food being stolen and you aren't allowed to be in your room during the day so you hear all of it. I finally left when I noticed my stuff WAS BEING STOLEN!!! Brand new Adidas, a hoodie, my x-mas gift from my niece that had my name on it, my b-day/ x-mas card from my sister with a gift card and even though it's only a few dollars someone ordered a movie on my Prime account. I brought all of this to the owners attention and she didn't even offer me a $25 gift card...it's the principle not the money. They get $8,000 from this house alone and can't be bothered by this. In the short time since I left I've been told drugs were found in the house, tvs taken off the walls and doors were taken off the hinges! If you care about your sobriety as I do, do not go here! A friend went here to stay sober December 2020 and found it's a terrible place to go to stay sober. There were too many women in the house (17) and her stuff was stolen, $200 worth of Christmas gifts and personal belongings. She left after two weeks because of how insane it was. She learned since she left tvs were taken down and doors were removed and drugs were found. Sounds awful to me.

This place was incredible for my sobriety. I stayed 6 months to get on my feet and it was the step I needed. So happy now!

Could you tell me what happens when someone is going from prison to your place? How do they get clothes..do you help them get readjusted to life? Thank you.

Hi, my probation officer, has sent me a few recovery homes to reach out to and see what availability is open.

I really need a sober environment with people that are serious about recovering.
