Their Transitional Housing is only for families with children coming through their shelter program. Family Promise of Blount County provides families with children who are enrolled in the program are provided overnight shelter for a maximum stay of 90 days, a feeding program 3 times a day and intensive case management services to assist in finding lasting jobs, homes, child care and other community resources. The goal is to help families become self-sufficient. Contact during office hours: Sundays through Saturday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm.To be eligible for transitional housing services: Homeless families with children under the age of 18.Must have no severe mental health issues, no active drug/alcohol abuse, no domestic violence cases. Cannot be an immigrant without government issued paperwork. Certain criminal records will exclude guests ( i.e. crimes against person, property and sex offenders).


Mission Statement: Family Promise of Blount County’s mission is to unite the faith community, volunteers, and community resources to provide meals, temporary shelter, transitional housing, and social services to families without homes, enabling them to achieve lasting independence. A strong spirit of collaboration is evident in the structure of the program. Area faith communities provide overnight accommodations and support, while local social service agencies and volunteers provide the necessary resources to enable families to emerge from temporary crisis situations and become self-sufficient.
