Ernie Turner Center operates off a Therapeutic Village of Care model which is an alcohol- and drug-free residential structure in which people live together in an organized and supportive way to promote personal change and achieve long-term sobriety. During their stay, participants receive mental health and substance-abuse counseling, group therapy, and case management services within an extended family environment. At this level of care they are focusing on exploring thoughts, emotions, and mental health issues that impede overall functioning. They also focus on the ability of their home and immediate relationships to support recovery efforts. Participants at this level of care need significant support to promote abstinence from substance misuse, address criminal behavior, and begin changing the individuals thoughts, attitudes, means of coping and lifestyle.
