Grace & Mercy and Man Up Transitional housing men, a Ministry of Community Care is Christian based and expect a resident will be in the program for about nine to twelve months, plus in six-month aftercare program.
Besides the Residential Managers, they have volunteers that come along side to help mentor, teach basic life skills, and love on the residents and their children.
Other outside agencies including Department of Child Services, Family Centered Services, Helping Hands, Park Center, Bowen Center, Adams-Wells Crisis Center, Probation and Parole Officers, United Way/Faith Fund, and others are incorporated into their transitional plan as needed.
The residents are taught cooking skills and expected to take turns cooking for the other residents as they all sit-down to a nightly meal together.
All residents are required to attend the church of their choice and depending on the situation Celebrate Recovery, Reformers Unanimous, and other appropriate group settings.
