I admire the fact that you are trying to help those who may have gone astray....BUT, the Jubilee house on Barrel Race Drive needs some supervision. They need to be part of the community for successful transition. 1. They need to obey speed limits instead of driving through at excessive speeds - we have children that are at risk from irresponsible drivers. 2. Respect their neighbors. They park in front of the neighbor's homes - the neighbors are nice folks - taking care of their property, and don't need some junk cars parked in front of their house. It affects the neighbors self worth and sense of safety and well-being. 3. There's no need for a pile of trash every week in front of the Oxford House at this location - it is so out of place, it draws attention to the clients you have - in a negative manner. 4. Conduct themselves in a civilized manner - shouting matches across the street or in front of the house negatively affects the perception that they are trying to change their lives. Bottom Line: Oxford House needs to counsel their clients on how to conduct themselves and not alienate themselves in the communities they reside in.
So glad other neighbors have spoken up about this property. I aree 100% what the previous commenter wrote. It is a nightmare living by this house. I cringe everytime we drive into the neighborhood. I have no idea how a business like this can operate in a residential neighborhood. We are woken everyday by loud cars ,trucks and motorcycles. Our driveways parked in front of. Trash piled up in front of garage and sidewalk. Loud noise . People moving in and out every week it seems. Extreme safety concerns for all the neighbors. This house will surely drive property value down. This used to be a great place to live, But not anymore.
July 2021, November 2021, and now, here we are in June 2022 and nothing has changed. Biker boys speeding through the street with their Harleys waking the dead, cars parked in front of other neighbor's houses, trash barrels overflowing, neighbors - especially wives and daughters - feeling less than safe. Yep, the Oxford House group has certainly made an impression here....
