One of the unique aspects of Chabads treatment is the longer-term care option they provide. Most clients begin treatment with a 3-month residential stay. This provides a strong foundation for recovery. Clients can then transfer to the sober living and continue with outpatient services for an additional 3 months. This longer-term care facilitates a more complete integration of core clinical work. New habits and ways of thinking have time to be nurtured, assimilated and reinforced. Clients are able to build a sober support network, practice new skills outside of a structured environment, and also to begin to work while they are still in a supportive atmosphere.
