The mission at Colette's Children's Home is to provide homeless single women and homeless mothers with children and safe home and nurturing environment where they obtain compassionate support and services needed to achieve self-sufficiency.
CCH provides clients assistance in securing employment within 30 days of entering the program.
After gaining employment clients are then given assistance in matters of monthly budgeting and a savings program.
Clients are also required to attend life skills classes on a weekly basis.
These classes range from healthy eating, parenting skills, health issues, relapse prevention and conflict resolution.
In addition to these goal oriented services, CCH also provides practical assistance such as food cards, bus passes, hygiene supplies and household items.
Admission criteria includes sober females 18 years of age or older who commit to remaining drug and alcohol free during the duration of their stay and documentation of homelessness.
Children both male and female under the age of 17 are allowed and upon acceptance in the program the women are required to obtain employment and work at least 32 hours a week.
