Alternatives of Madison County provides emergency shelter and support services for female domestic violence victims, with or without dependent children (under age 18).
Services include lodging, meals, case management, emergency and essential transportation, and advocacy.
Crisis line available 24 hours per day.
Alternatives serves Madison, Hamilton, Hancock, Henry and Tipton as the primary shelter and Marion County as an overflow shelter when their shelters are full.
Clients are encouraged to bring identification such as photo ID, Social Security cards or birth certificates, but no documentation is required for intake.
