Beacon Center recognizes that chemically dependent women have special issues and needs that must be resolved to promote recovery. The multiple issues that chemically dependent women face include issues of sexuality, such as rape, childhood sexual abuse, prostitution, and abortion. As a result of these issues, Beacon Center's Women's Program is geared toward helping women develop their self esteem as well as their assertiveness skills. It creates a therapeutic milieu that is sensitive to women's needs and concerns while providing a supportive environment just for women.

Mission Statement: The clinical program is founded upon the belief that substance use disorders are highly treatable, and that those persons suffering from its effects are entitled to the best treatment available at the level of least intrusion in their lives.
